RIM Doesn’t Have a Clue (According to them)

According to the New York Times Article…

Features have proliferated on BlackBerrys as part of RIM’s move to the broader consumer market, and so have the number of models. Since 2007, RIM has introduced 37 models. The company, in a statement, said it did not know how many models were on the market.

How can a company not know how many products it cells? Sometimes it seems like journalists are just piling on with RIM, but maybe it’s justified.

Naturally Amazon is getting flack for not protecting the children from their content. I would think a bigger concern is that if you give kids a Kindle and they are able to see Prime Videos they are then able to buy anything they want. At least until they max out your credit card. Just saying…

Government Making Sense!

I never understood why AT&T would be allowed to withdraw their merger related application with the FCC while continuing on with the DOJ. It sounded like they were trying to play one against the other. They didn’t want the DOJ to know what was in their FCC app and they thought DOJ approval would then allow an easier FCC approval.

Well, it sounds like the FCC doesn’t think this makes sense either and it asking the courts to require the FCC app before they decide.

As the the merger itself. Emotionally I hate it. But the question is will T-Mobile go away even if there isn’t a merger?

Yet another rumor about Bill Gates returning to Microsoft. The idea seems completely bizarre. Naturally the source is unnamed. But Fortune mag is able to spin it as an “analysis/what if” story so they won’t technically be wrong if someone else replaces Ballmer. Of course there’s no specifics so they won’t be completely wrong until Bill dies. A reason to dump Forbes a a source of news as they move to link bait.

Seventeen car models failed to make the cut and won’t be back for another year. I had a ’98 Dodge Dakota when they were first introduced. I loved it although ended up replacing it after it’s 6 year run. The Crown Vic is a classic.
